March 2025 Update

 A few updates from the last couple of months:

• We finished Variant by Itagaki Nobuo. Thanks again to Kitakevo for cleaning, and to Elemhunter and Choolete for a couple of the Garo scans. 

• We did two oneshots by Tamura Shigeru. Both were published in Bikkuri House magazine and were never republished in any of his manga collections.
• A Rat's Aeroplane (1979-11) revisits one of the rats from his debut in Garo (Rat Clan). Tamura later adapted this oneshot into a full picture book by the same name.
• The World Grew Spines (1983-08) is advertised as a "special new comic" from Phantasmagoria. It shows the origin of the cactus people who appeared in Phantasmagoria Days.
  

• And finally, we released the winter chapters of Gogo no Akubi by Komatsu Shinya, marking the completion of volume one.

All of these are now available to read on MangaDex (links above) or to download from Mega, which has been updated with all our releases so far.

We're currently working on a few things, such as the next Tamura (either Star Head or An SOS from Robot Country), spring volume 2 of Gogo no Akubi, and some other random stuff that has piqued our interest.

Itagaki Nobuo - Variant #1-5

A series of two-page stories published in Garo between 1992 and 1994. Seventeen were published in total, but they were never collected as part of a tankobon. These first five were released monthly in the April to August 1992 issues.

There's not too much information out there about Itagaki Nobuo (イタガキノブオ). His stories appeared regularly in Garo between 1985 and 1996, and many were collected in the volumes Negative Stories (1986), Paper Theatre (1989), and Cinema Lunatica (1996). His latest works seem to be a series of children's picture books (Nekomushi Stories) published in the early 2000s.
